Overview
When a form is flagged as incomplete, it’s often due to incomplete fields or missing information. Understanding the common reasons a form might be incomplete can help you quickly resolve these issues and proceed with your application. Here are some frequent causes and their solutions:
- Unanswered required fields (these have a red asterisk)
- Exceeded character limits
- Incomplete signatures
- Missing expiration dates
Required Fields
Ensure all mandatory questions, marked with a red asterisk (*), are answered.
-
- If you don’t have an answer to a required question, contact your agency via the "Need Help?" section in your portal.
Character Limits
Some fields have a maximum number of characters that can be entered. For instance, phone numbers typically have a 10-character limit.
-
- Error Message Example: A red number showing "20/15" means you've exceeded the limit by 5 characters.
Signatures
- Look for the blue "Sign for [Your Name]" buttons beneath the form name.
- Click these buttons to sign the form.
- Once signed, the blue circle changes to a green circle with a white check mark.
Expiration Dates
Supporting documents without expiration dates (ie marriage certificates, birth certificates) are marked complete as soon as they are uploaded.
Supporting documents with expiration dates:
- Upload the document.
- The circle will turn fully blue.
- Add an expiration date to receive the green check mark.
