Time to Approval Report

Overview

The time to approval report in Binti provides insights into the time taken for various stages of the approval process. It includes three tabs that show different aspects of the time to approval: days between signature and approval, days between placement and approval, and days between inquiry and approval. Each tab features a line graph showing trends over time, a table with detailed statistics, and a scatter plot for individual application times.

Data can be accessed via three different views:

  • Number of days between application signature and approval
  • Number of days between placement of a child in the home and approval
  • Number of days between initial inquiry and approval

How is data displayed?

The report displays data in three ways: a line graph, scatter graph, and data table. Additionally, a CSV download enables you to create custom reports.

Line graph

What data does this report include?

Days between signature and approval

This view calculates the number of days between signature on the initial application and date of approval. Though typically associated with a caregiver application, Binti is able to designate any form as the initial application. Ask your Customer Success Manager if you are unsure what form your agency has designated as the initial application.

This view includes the following:

      • Applications with a signed initial application AND valid date of approval (aka status date)
      • Historical/imported applications that were previously approved

You may view the data for an individual family by looking in the following areas:

      • For date application signed, on the Initial Application navigate to Edit Application, scroll down to "Date application signed"
      • For date of approval, navigate to the In Renewal Process tab and look under the "Initial Approval Date" column. This information is also visible on Applicant Data. Scroll down to “Other applications for this family”, and see the date the Initial Application was approved.

Days between placement and approval

This view calculates the number of days between a child being placed in the home and date of approval. This view is only applicable if your agency places children with families prior to approval (i.e. emergency relative placement). This view includes the following:

      • Applications with a signed initial application, valid date of approval (aka status date), AND a child placed in the home prior to initial approval

You may view the data for an individual family by looking in the following areas:

      • For date of placement, navigate to Applicant Data. Scroll down to "Historical Child Placements Provided” and refer to “Date Child Joined Placement”.
      • For date of approval, navigate to the In Renewal Process tab and look under the "Initial Approval Date" column. This information is also visible on Applicant Data. Scroll down to “Other applications for this family”, and see the date the Initial Application was approved.

Days between inquiry and approval

This view calculates the number of days between the date of inquiry with an agency and date of approval. Date of inquiry is populated automatically when an applicant uses self sign-up and may be adjusted by agency workers. This view includes the following:

      • Applications with a valid date of inquiry AND valid date of approval (aka status date)

You may view the data for an individual family by looking in the following places:

      • For date of inquiry, navigate to the Edit Application page for a family and scroll to "Date of inquiry".
      • For date of approval, navigate to the In Renewal Process tab and look under the "Initial Approval Date" column. This information is also visible on Applicant Data. Scroll down to “Other applications for this family”, and see the date the Initial Application was approved.
