Overview
This article is for service providers: the agencies and staff who deliver services on a service referral. It explains how to edit or delete a service record to fix a mistake, and why you might not be able to. You can change a service record yourself as long as the service referral is still open and the service record isn't locked.
How do I edit or delete a service record?
- Navigate to Children & Youth on the top blue navigation bar.
- Select Service Referrals in the dropdown.
- Find the referral and click "View Service Referral."
- In the Service Records section, find the record you want to change.
- In the 3 dot menu
Click "Edit" to update it, or "Delete" to remove it.
Why can't I edit or delete a service record?
There are two common reasons:
- The record is locked. Locked records can't be edited or deleted.
- The referral is closed. Once a referral is closed, its records can't be changed, even if a record isn't locked. Contact your referring agency to ask for the change.
What does it mean when a service record is locked?
A locked record has been sent to your referring agency's finance team for payment processing. Binti doesn't handle payments, but you can treat a locked record as being in that process.
Only the referring agency can lock and unlock records. If a locked record needs a correction, contact your referring agency and ask them to unlock it.
