Why don't I see the training hours I just logged?

Overview

There are two reasons you might not see training hours you logged or waived:

Training hours or waiver applied to prior year

Training hours in Binti are automatically applied to the most overdue requirement first. If you are logging the current year's training hours without completing or waiving previous years' hours, the system will apply the new entries to the oldest overdue requirement.

Training hours greater than the required number of hours

Any hours logged which exceed the required number of hours will be saved on the Non-Required tab.

Avoid training hours or waivers applying to incorrect year

  1. Check for overdue training hours before logging current trainings:

    • On the Training Requirements page, look in the Due Date field to identify any prior years which are incomplete. Overdue years are highlighted red.
  2. Complete or waive overdue training hours:

    • Complete or waive the overdue training hours.
  3. Log current year’s training hours:

    • Once the previous years' training hours are completed or waived, any hours logged for the current year should automatically move to the correct year. If you deleted the trainings, you can log them in the correct year.

Training hours greater than the required number of hours

Each year has a maximum number of required training hours which can be logged. If you log more hours than required, the extra hours are saved on the Non-Required tab. If you need all hours to be saved on the Required tab, use the workaround described below.

Correct misallocated hours:

  1. Log a training worth fewer hours than the maximum required for the year.

  2. After logging the smaller training, log the remaining training, even if its total hours exceed the maximum allowed.

  3. All hours should now be saved on the Required tab.

Note: this workaround can only be used once per approval year. Any additional training hours logged for the year will be saved on the Non-Required tab.
