Why isn’t the Background Check Section Working?

Overview

Some background check statuses will register as "incomplete" and must be resolved before approval.

 

Steps to resolve background check issues

  1. Navigate to the Background Checks page for the family by using the navigation buttons in the top-right of any family-specific page, or via the "Background Checks" column on the Caregiver Applications Dashboard.
  2. Look for any background checks marked as:
    • Completed, exemption required
    • Completed, non-exemptible crime
    • There is a hit, needs review to see if exemption is required
    • Rejected/Not Found
  3. Resolve the blocking statuses:
    • If an exemption is needed, you can complete this information on the Background Check Exemptions page for the family. This will be linked at the top of the Background Checks page if any check is marked as "Exemption Required".
    • If the background check status needs correction, edit it directly on the "Background Checks" page.
