Renaming Files and Completed Forms

Keeping documents organized is essential especially when families may upload files with names like IMG241.jpg or when completed forms generate auto-named PDFs. Now, you can quickly rename any uploaded document or any form completed in Binti directly from the Documents page.

No downloading.

No re-uploading.

Just rename and save.

Why does this matter?

This enhancement helps workers:

  • Keep documentation organized
  • Follow agency naming conventions
  • Quickly identify and retrieve documents
  • Reduce time managing attachments
  • Prevent clutter from unclear file names

How it works for Agency Staff?

After a file is uploaded, or a form is completed and the PDF is created, you’ll now see a pencil (edit) icon next to the document name.

  1. Click the pencil icon
  2. Type your new file name
  3. Select the checkmark to save

Your updated file name will be applied instantly.

Helpful Notes

  • If you have permission to upload documents, you can also rename them.
  • You do not need to include the file extension (like .pdf or .jpg).
  • This works for all document types:
    • Uploaded files
    • PDFs from completed applicant forms
    • PDFs from completed agency forms
    • Reference documents
    • Other Adult forms
    • Miscellaneous/other documents
