How to Interact with Blue, Binti’s Assistant Chat Bot

Overview

Blue is Binti’s virtual assistant chat bot, designed to help you get answers to your questions 24/7. Whether you need guidance on completing a form, connecting with your assigned caseworker, or understanding your next steps, Blue is here to make things easier.

During business hours, Blue can also redirect you to a human Customer Support Advocate if your question needs further assistance. Just type in Talk to a Human to be redirected at anytime.

 

How to Interact with Blue

To get the most out of your interaction with Blue, here are some tips:

  • Ask Clear Questions:
    Instead of saying, “I need help,” try something specific like, “How do I reset my form?” or “Where can I find my application status?”

  • Explain Your Role:
    Let Blue know who you are by starting with, “I’m an applicant,” “I’m a reference,” or “I’m a worker.” This helps Blue provide answers tailored to your needs.

  • Avoid too many specific details, like names or email addresses:
    Blue cannot view user information and is unable to process specific requests.

  • Be Patient with Complex Requests:
    Ask Blue one question at a time, and then you can ask follow up questions if needed. For complex situations, it may direct you to speak with a human for additional help.

How Blue Responds to Greetings

If you greet Blue with “Hello,” “Hola,” or other casual phrases, Blue will respond warmly and ask you to type in your question. Blue recognizes greetings in multiple languages, and mirrors the user’s exact greeting when possible. Here are some example greetings:

  • Hi
  • Hello
  • Hola
  • Buenos días
  • Buenas tardes
  • Aloha
  • Hey
  • Good morning
  • Good afternoon
  • Howdy
  • Help

Here are some examples of how Blue might respond:

  • Friendly Welcome:
    "Hi there! 👋 I'm Blue, Binti's virtual assistant. Please type your question below."
    "Aloha! 🌺 I'm Blue, Binti's virtual assistant. Please type your question below."
    "Howdy! 🤠 I'm Blue, Binti's virtual assistant. Please type your question below."

  • Friendly Welcome in Spanish:
    "¡Hola! 👋 Soy Blue, tu asistente virtual. Por favor, escribe tu pregunta a continuación."
    "Buenas! 👋 Soy Blue, tu asistente virtual. Por favor, escribe tu pregunta a continuación."

Navigation tips

  • View past conversations
    Blue will store all previous chats you have had for your reference. Simply click on any conversation after opening the widget. to review it. Note: If you are wanting to open a new chat about a new issue, for best results, please click 'New Conversation' at the bottom of the chat window

  • Sound settings
    If you wish to get a sound notification when you receive a new chat response go to the in the top right of the chat window (the 3 dots) and you can turn sound on or off.

  • Exiting out of chat
    To exit out of chat you can click  the blue circle with the downward facing arrow (located at the bottom right of the page.
