Overview
The Family Finding Efforts Report generates a formatted Excel document containing data from the Relationships Dashboard. With a single click, this report compiles all outreach efforts conducted on behalf of a child or youth. This includes:
- A comprehensive list of identified relatives, fictive kin, and other potential connections.
- A detailed summary of all contact logs, showcasing the communication and outreach made to engage these connections.
With this robust level of detail, agencies can effectively showcase the proactive steps they have taken while providing essential documentation to demonstrate evidence of family finding activities This report is suitable for sharing with courts or other stakeholders, highlighting the agency’s reasonable efforts in family engagement.
How is data displayed?
This report exports all of the data from the Relationships Dashboard. It is generated as a formatted Excel spreadsheet, meaning that the document displays data in organized columns and tables. The document also includes multiple tabs to make viewing information easier. An example is provided below.

What data does this report include?
This report includes five tabs within an Excel document: Summary, Relatives, Fictive Kin, Potential Connections, and a Contact Log. The table below details the data included in each of these tabs.

How do I access the report?
The Family Finding Efforts Report can be access in two ways:
- From the Family Finding Searches Dashboard, select "Generate Family Finding Efforts Report" in the Actions menu.
- From the Relationships Dashboard, click the "Generate Family Finding Efforts Report" button in the top right corner.
