Family Finding & Engagement (FF&E) Search Close Reasons lets you capture why a search is closing and provide closure details, helping your team document the story behind every case. With this update, you now have new actions directly from the search: “Close Search” and “Edit Closure Details.”
Why it Matters
Capturing closure reasons and details is more than a formality. It helps your agency:
Tell the full story: Clearly document why a search was closed.
Track outcomes: Gain insights into FF&E results across your cases.
Improve practice: Use closure data to guide decision-making and strengthen family connections.

New functionality
Users can select a Reason for Closure from a dropdown and enter Closure Details. Closure Details are required only if Other is chosen
Editing Closure Info
Previous functionality
To edit the close date, users returned to Edit Search.
New functionality

Reason for Closure, and Closure Details on closed searches.
Edit Search Fields
Previous functionality

New functionality

Assignment, simplifying the workflow.
With these improvements, documenting and tracking your Family Finding searches is now easier, clearer, and more structured. Close searches with clarity, edit details when needed, and make every search tell the full story.
